THE OVERVIEW
Gritty Jigs is hand-poured saltwater tackle made for the rough stuff — jetties, rocks, structure, the spots that eat cheaper gear. The brand had real personality and a serious product; it needed a store that hit just as hard and could take custom orders without turning into a spreadsheet.
The challenge
This is gear for people who care about the details — hook, weight, color, the way it swims. The site had to speak to that without getting precious about it, and feel rugged and fast rather than boutique.
Custom orders were the tricky part. Anglers want specific hooks and colors, so the shop needed room for made-to-order without making every order a back-and-forth.
WHAT I BUILT
A store that’s built for battle, same as the jigs.

A storefront with attitude
Product pages that load fast and read tough, built so the jigs — and the brand’s “no compromises, just results” streak — come through right away.
Made-to-order, built in
Custom hook sizes and colors are part of the flow, not an afterthought — “your vision, our craftsmanship,” without a dozen emails to get there.
Built for a small operation
Set up to run lean — simple management, low overhead, fast updates — with ongoing support for hosting, deploys, database costs, and the occasional fix, plus a clear path to Shopify or a lower-maintenance setup if the brand outgrows the custom build.
THE OUTCOME
made-to-order flow — anglers spec their own hooks and colors without a single back-and-forth email.
real storefront for the brand — the first place they could actually sell, not just point to.
hidden 404 arcade game, because a brand with this much personality shouldn’t waste a dead end.
